Overview Surgical Tech I: Main OR - 40hrs/week, DAYS at Albany Medical Center. Department: Operating Room. Work Shift: Day (United States of America). Salary Range: $41,136.28 - $57,590.79. Hourly Range: $22.00/hr. - $28.75/hr. Surgical technologists are allied health professionals who are an integral part of the team providing surgical care to patients. They work under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and a surgeon to facilitate surgical procedures, ensure the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and patient safety is maintained.
