Grantmakers of Oregon and Southwest Washington (GOSW) serves a diverse community of funders that work to strengthen and expand philanthropy and improve the vitality and health of Oregon and Southwest Washington communities. The organization acts as a partner and resource for rural and urban funders who seek connection, knowledge, and programmatic support that enable ethical and responsible charitable giving and a catalyst for effective philanthropy. GOSW’s strategic emphasis includes five impact areas: strengthening cross-sector collaborations to address big issues in the region; eliminating barriers to nonprofit impact; increasing investments in rural and tribal communities; developing and nurturing new and diverse philanthropy; and, embedding equity in philanthropy throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. GOSW seeks an Executive Director to work closely with the Board, staff, and key stakeholders to advance the organization’s mission, provide strategic leadership, ensure the development and delivery of innovative member programs, revisit and refine the business model, and integrate various activities of the organization to create a whole greater than the sum of its parts. Collaborating with a wide variety of individuals and organizations while managing a small but talented staff will not only be critical to the new Executive Director’s success, but also bring joy for the right person in realizing the organization’s values and aspirations throughout the region.
