Position Summary

The Regional Controller, West Region, will be focused on supporting our West Region, which is primarily located on the West Coast and Midwest, with monthly close activities, financial reporting, and annual audit requirements. The Regional Controller will partner closely with the Manager, Accounting Integration, on any new acquisitions to be added in the region as well. This role will partner with FP&A on the annual budget process for the West Region. While this position will not initially have direct reports, the person will utilize our India HQ support staff for various daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks for the acquired companies. This role is expected to travel to acquired locations as needed, along with travel to the East Coast of FL once per quarter for team meetings; expect overall travel up to 10%.

Position Responsibilities

\n

\n

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Responsible for the monthly close of a portfolio of companies in the West region
\n
• Key team member in the successful integration of new acquisitions, working cross functionally with our integration team to stabilize platform processes post transaction close
\n
• Manage and coach the offshore accounting management team in India to handle day-to-day accounting processes, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, AR, AP, etc.
\n
• Facilitates adoption of platform level standard operating procedures at each location within the region and manages communication and implementation changes as platform processes evolve
\n
• Provide support to local operations teams including leadership at the respective acquisitions
\n
• Finance business partner responsible for reviewing KPI and monthly results package including P&L and balance sheet to deliver meaningful insights to regional leadership team
\n
• Key player in understanding monthly regional performance and providing insight into month-over-month variances
\n
• Experience with full cycle GL close and consolidations
\n
• Comfortable in team-oriented, collaborative environment
\n
• Ability to solve problems and challenge current processes to seek efficiencies
\n

Education and work experience:

\n

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university and a minimum of ten years of experience, preferably progressing from staff accountant levels to controller level experience overseeing full cycle GL close for multiple entities and overseeing a small team of accountants and/or support staff.
\n
• CPA required .
\n
