A contract school social worker position is available, working with elementary-aged students and delivering critical services within a vibrant educational environment. This assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through October 2nd, 2026, offering stability and the fulfillment of helping students thrive academically and emotionally.
In this dynamic role, you will support a caseload of approximately 25 elementary students and provide push-in classroom services tailored for special education classrooms. Collaborate closely with educators, students, and families to foster positive learning experiences and address diverse needs onsite.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- Active Illinois SSW license
- PEL endorsement as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience working in school settings
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit
- Ability to deliver services exclusively onsite (no teletherapy)
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting individual and group social work sessions
- Supporting students with emotional, behavioral, and social challenges
- Implementing interventions within classrooms, including special education settings
- Coordinating with teachers, administrators, and families on student support plans
- Maintaining records and preparing documentation required for compliance
