Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a key role supporting students with diverse needs in a welcoming educational setting near Jersey City, NJ. This contract opportunity allows you to make a difference as an Occupational Therapist, working one location from October 1st, 2026, to April 15th, 2027. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated staff to help children and young adults, ages 5 to 21, build skills for success across a wide range of abilities and challenges.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license
• Previous experience in school-based, healthcare, or home health OT settings
• Strong understanding of therapy approaches for various disabilities and high-needs populations
• Comfort working with children and young adults ages 5-21
• Ability to adapt therapeutic methods to individual needs
• Clear communicator and effective collaborator with educators, families, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their individualized education plans
• Assess students’ needs and develop treatment goals in collaboration with the educational team
• Design and implement interventions that address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Confer regularly with teachers, aides, and families to support comprehensive care
• Foster an inclusive, empowering environment that encourages student growth

This role offers a consistent daytime schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, in a single, stable location—ideal for those seeking a meaningful position where their expertise has an immediate impact.
