Assembly Operator - 1st Shift

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Work individually or as part of a team to assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire productor component ofa product according to Work Instructions. 

• Completes work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions. 

• Selects and moves productionmaterials as required.  

• Maintains equipment andmaterials necessary to complete the operation.  

• Meets established safety, quality, andperformance standardsto ensure production schedules are met. 

• Records accurate informationon Manufacturing Order and performs transactions necessaryto maintain accurate recordsand inventory balances.  

• Complies with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards. Reports adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations todepartment leader inaccordance to escalation procedure. 

• Adheres to department 5S standards daily. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.  

• In accordance with escalation procedure, notify team leader or otherappropriate resource whenproblems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.  

• Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed. Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs. 

YOU HAVE:

• High School Diploma or GED,preferred

• Knowledge in use of scales, preferred

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferred

• Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints, preferred

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$14.80 - $27.50 Per Hour

• Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product,preferred

• Experience in using hand and power tools,preferred

• Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred

Pay Transparency

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
