Sample Processing Associate - Weekend PM

Abbott seeks a Clinical Lab Associate I for specimen processing operations at a Madison diagnostics facility. The role involves accessioning, sample processing, automation support, and lab maintenance on a weekend overnight shift (Saturday–Monday, 6 p.m.–6:30 a.m.), following laboratory procedures and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform specimen accessioning, processing, and automation system operation
- Maintain lab equipment, conduct sample racking, and support lab cleaning
- Handle and dispose of specimens following safety protocols and standard precautions
- Document issues and resolutions using Good Documentation Practices
- Support quality improvements, audits, and departmental operational initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- Computer proficiency including email and Microsoft Office
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and tolerate bodily fluids
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
Compensation: $14.85–$29.65 per hour
