As an Unarmed Security Officer at a residential shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Wed 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM

Thur 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM

Sat 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common spaces, entrances, exits, and the property perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of conditions that may require a response.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation; communicate relevant information to site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
