We’re currently seeking a  Certified Welding inspector to join our team in  Pleasanton, CA . This is a great opportunity for a seasoned Welding Inspector that values technical excellence.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities on construction projects meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform visual and nondestructive inspections of welded joints in accordance with AWS, ICC, and other applicable standards.
• Verify welder qualifications and welding procedure specifications (WPS)
• Monitor field welding activities and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Document inspection results, generate reports, and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of welding codes, materials, and inspection techniques.

Requirements:

• Current  AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)  certification or  ICC Welding Inspector certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in structural welding inspection
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, squat, crawl, and lift/move up to 75 lbs
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record  (company vehicle provided)

Preferred Qualifications:

• ICC Structural Masonry certification
• ICC Structural Welding certification
• ICC Structural Steel & Bolting certification
• Experience with various NDT methods (UT, MT, PT) are a plus
• Familiarity with construction documents and blueprints
