YOUR ROLE AT ZEGNA


As PR & Communications Manager, based in New York, you will bring your unique strengths to the Public Relations & Communications team, helping us think strategically while overseeing press strategy, celebrity initiatives, press and media relationships, wholesale activities, events, and gifting activities.


You'll work closely with the Director of PR & Communications, North America, you will execute of communications, public relations, and celebrity efforts for our brand in the US.

PR, Communications & Celebrity

• Execute and deliver the communication strategy, press, celebrity, influencer engagement, and PR activations across the brand and will seamlessly execute media partnership, PR, celebrity, and influence to deliver outstanding earned media outcomes.
  • Communicate brand guidelines, materials that are directed from HQ team to dedicated teams and third parties
  • Oversee agency's weekly deliverables, gatherings, and feedback on reports
  • Align with Communications Director to ensure HQ expectations are met across projects
  • Manage all targets for editorial, gifting, media placements based on directives from HQ and local PR strategy
  • Ensure execution of special activities including press days, fashion show, gifting initiatives, and more
• Monitor and analyze media coverage and communication.
• Draft press releases for regional/national initiatives & VIP dressing moments.
  • Circulate to press and ensure crediting across all channels
• Develop a robust, thoughtful PR plan for brand activations and launches.
• Meet with key outlets, stylists, celebrities, KOLs, influencers for brand experiences.
• Support VIP dressing requests for North America in partnership with Celebrity Manager.
• Supervise fashion show preparation including but not limited to constructing guestlists, organizing fittings, coordinating travel and accommodation logistics
• Create, update and maintain press and stylist database; develop targeted distribution strategy based on varying initiatives i.e., store openings, leading launches, VIP dressings, Fashion shows, ZEGNA Group fiscal results and sustainability initiatives.
• Maintain master editorial tracking records, including all press requests, pitching, anticipated editorial, secured editorial and missed opportunities.
• Create new initiatives and ideas towards media strategy for localized outlets, orchestrate brand partnership conversations and nourish media relationships.

Samples

• Manage a seamless and organized PR sample closet and support VIP sample requests.
• Request and monitor all MOVs with the retails teams and ensure proper tracking is in place across product, records and budget for PR and Celebrity pulls.
• Manage seasonal sample orders for department. Work in cross-functional consideration of merchandising, retail, marketing/image objectives and HQ guidance of collection's suggested creative direction.

Events & Gifting

• On-site support at ZEGNA events for Press & VIP i.e., campaign or collection launches, store openings, client acquisition opportunities etc.
• Formulate gifting/seeding initiatives and mailings for editors, stylists, VIPs, and bloggers/influencers from start to finish including curation of lists to key partners and friends of the brands.
• Report on competitor activity and initiatives, as well as relevant industry trends, key industry events, projects, collaborations, and relevant VIPs of the moment.
• Create New Vendors as needed, and support the budget tracking.
• Manage PR Coordinator and or Associate.

Wholesale & Retail Marketing

• Liaise with Wholesale and Merchandising teams to support deliverables across 3 rd party wholesalers and retail to inform marketing activities across the business; manage communication with HQ as needed surrounding sample support.
• Construct asset proposals for Wholesale COOP and Retail Marketing requests to ensure brand/business alignment for upcoming launches and seasonal pushes.

WHO YOU ARE


This is how you show up:

• Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications)
• At least 5 years of PR experience, preferably in high-end fashion/luxury goods industry or relevant agency
• Strong computer skills including ( Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Social Media Platforms; Adobe; Launchmetrics (Fashion GPS); Cision; Fashion Monitor/Celebrity Intelligence; media tracking services, such as DMR, Meltwater, Burrelles, etc.

• The pay range for this position is $95-110K annually and is dependent on a candidate's relevant skills and experience.
