Associate Attorney - Litigation

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a focused, team-oriented legal practice in the Denver, Colorado area. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent legal research and writing skills, and the ability to independently manage a fast-paced caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and defend first- and third-party insurance claims.
- Handle matters involving personal injury, construction, premises liability, insurance coverage disputes, and bad faith claims.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Draft dispositive motions, pleadings, and insurance coverage opinions.
- Attend hearings and proceedings in state and federal courts.
- Conduct examinations under oath (EUOs).
- Perform legal research and prepare comprehensive written analyses.
- Conduct pre-litigation evaluations and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
- Manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active Colorado Bar license – MANDATORY, no exceptions.
- Local candidates only – must be located in the Denver, Colorado area.
- Minimum 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm environment.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a fast-paced caseload and prioritize competing deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling construction matters.
- Background in commercial litigation.
- Experience with insurance defense or insurance-related litigation.
- Experience with coverage disputes and/or bad faith matters.
