Note: Applicants must have 2+ years of directly relevant estate planning or elder law paralegal experience and be able to work full-time on-site in Garden City.

Job Description

• Support attorneys with estate planning matters from initial preparation through document execution and follow-up.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare documents, and related estate planning materials.
• Assist with probate, estate administration, and trust administration matters.
• Support Medicaid and elder law matters by gathering documentation, coordinating information, and maintaining organized case files.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other parties throughout active matters.
• Track deadlines, documents, correspondence, and outstanding items to keep matters moving efficiently.
• Work closely with attorneys to anticipate needs and independently handle appropriate paralegal responsibilities.
• Provide responsive, detail-oriented support to clients navigating important family and financial matters.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estate planning or elder law paralegal experience.
• Experience with probate, estate administration, trust administration, or Medicaid matters is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Garden City, NY.
