POSITION OVERVIEW

HPA Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a flexible weekend locum tenens opportunity at a prestigious academic medical center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Both NPs and PAs are encouraged to apply, subject to facility eligibility requirements.

This 26-week assignment is ideal for experienced ICU clinicians seeking supplemental weekend opportunities with flexible scheduling, collaborative physician support, and no invasive procedural responsibilities.

The provider will work in a 10-bed adult ICU alongside attending physicians, functioning as a responding clinician.

• Adult ICU with approximately 7 patients daily

• 10-bed ICU

• Epic EMR

• Collaborative attending physician support

• Local Massachusetts providers preferred

SCHEDULE

Day Shift: 0600–1900
Night Shift: 1800–0700
Shift Length: 13 hours

The facility offers flexible scheduling for experienced clinicians interested in supplemental weekend coverage.

Providers are not required to work three shifts weekly.

Coverage Requirements:

• Minimum 2 weekend shifts monthly

• Preferred 4 weekend shifts monthly

• Friday night shifts qualify as weekend coverage

• Saturday and Sunday coverage available

• No required block scheduling

• No call outside scheduled shifts
