Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients' psychosocial needs, facilitating the development of individualized treatment plans and referrals that align with clinical best practices.

• Providing short-term counseling and crisis intervention to help patients navigate immediate challenges related to their mental health.
\n
• Assisting patients in completing necessary applications for entitlements, supplemental insurance, and additional benefits to reduce reliance on emergency assistance programs.

• Facilitating access to prescription cost assistance programs, guiding patients through options available through pharmaceutical companies and community resources.
\n
• Advocating for patients during interactions with community agencies, ensuring they receive necessary support services.
\n
• Maintaining accurate, up-to-date patient records and preparing reports as needed to comply with regulatory standards.

• Coordinating transportation assistance to ensure patients can access counseling sessions and other necessary appointments.
\n
• Participating actively in clinical meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and collaborative approaches to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population consists of individuals facing various mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to life transitions and crisis situations. We serve a diverse demographic across Tonawanda, where each client’s unique background and experiences are recognized as integral to their treatment process. Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating competence in counseling and case management.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, experience working in an outpatient setting and familiarity with community mental health resources is highly desirable. Additionally, proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems will aid in enhancing the efficiency of our counseling processes.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to the financial compensation, our benefits package includes:
