Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, primarily conducted through telehealth services. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

As a member of our team, you will take on a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the immediate and long-term needs of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based approaches.
\n
• Offering personalized counseling sessions that may utilize methods such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to foster positive change.

• Facilitating engaging group therapy sessions that provide peer support and a safe environment for sharing experiences.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists and addiction specialists to provide integrated care for our clients.

• Providing crisis intervention in urgent situations, ensuring clients are supported through difficulties that may arise during treatment.

• Educating patients and their families about addiction, developing coping strategies, and connecting them with community resources to aid in recovery.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards.

• Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and consultations to continually enhance your skills and stay abreast of best practices in addiction treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population predominantly consists of individuals grappling with substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, opioids, and stimulants. We also serve those who are affected by the consequences of addiction, including family members and loved ones. Our commitment to recovery-oriented care ensures that we not only focus on the individual client's challenges but also engage their support systems to promote holistic recovery outcomes.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• A comprehensive understanding of substance use disorders and effective treatment methodologies.
\n
• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy in addiction or mental health settings.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach towards clients.

• Ability to uphold professional ethics, maintain confidentiality, and establish boundaries with clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.
