About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to provide essential legal support to its global expert witness and consulting business. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating and drafting a wide range of agreements with both domestic and international third parties. This role also involves offering legal advice on management objectives and policies, as well as addressing complex legal issues related to client engagements, such as intellectual property rights, data security requirements, and compliance with global business obligations. The Assistant General Counsel will play a key role in identifying and mitigating legal risks, ensuring compliance with corporate formalities, and supporting the firm's operations in various jurisdictions. Applicants for the Assistant General Counsel position at the company should hold a JD degree with strong academic credentials and be a member of the bar in good standing. A minimum of 4 years' of general litigation or commercial contracts experience within a large international law firm is required, with a preference for those who have also worked as in-house corporate counsel, particularly in a professional services firm. The role demands a candidate with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with discretion and confidentiality. The position may involve evening or weekend work, as well as occasional travel, and the candidate must be prepared to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving abilities in a global business context.
