Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is an experienced Industrial Electrician with a strong background in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, automation, or packaging equipment. They possess advanced electrical troubleshooting skills and are comfortable diagnosing and repairing complex equipment issues in a fast‑paced production environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate: Five (5)+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems. Experience with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, drives, and industrial control systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation. Experience supporting manufacturing or packaging equipment in a production environment. Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams. Experience with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Exor, or similar automation platforms preferred. Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Maintenance, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred. Overview The Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and supporting electrical and electronic systems utilized throughout manufacturing operations. This position supports production equipment, packaging systems, PLC‑controlled machinery, motors, drives, sensors, HMIs, and related industrial control systems while contributing to continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence initiatives. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and electronic systems on manufacturing and packaging equipment. Diagnose and resolve issues involving motors, sensors, PLCs, HMIs, drives, electrical controls, and automation systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, blueprints, and service documentation. Utilize electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. Assist with equipment installation, startup, commissioning, validation, and operational support activities. Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and peripheral systems associated with production equipment. Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair situations as needed. Provide technical support to production personnel and operational teams. Accurately complete maintenance records, service reports, work orders, and related documentation. Support maintenance inventory management and communicate replacement part needs to leadership. Escalate complex technical issues through appropriate support channels when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and other facility‑specific safety requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, productivity, quality, and operational excellence. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Associate Degree in Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant work experience will be considered. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, manufacturing, automation, field service, or a related technical role preferred. Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, automation equipment, motors, drives, and PLC‑controlled machinery preferred. Experience with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Exor, or comparable control systems preferred. Compensation The listed hourly base pay range is estimated and may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, performance, and demonstrated competencies.
