Job Title: Rehabilitation Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehab Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1+ years in a rehab or inpatient setting License: RN Certifications: BLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: - 2 years of experience preferred Description: This is an inpatient acute rehabilitation position. It requires dedicated treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced a loss of function due to an injury or illness. The focus is on intensive, patient-centered rehabilitation services. Programs offered include customized rehabilitation tailored to individual needs. Common patient cases include stroke, brain injuries, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. The goal is to maximize health, function, and quality of life through comprehensive rehabilitation programs. The facility operates 52 beds, all private, with a current census of 35. Patient ratios will be 1 nurse to 5 patients. Candidates will work with a diverse patient population including spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, and other complex medical needs. Experience with wound care and isolation patients is essential. Nurses are required to wear closed-toed shoes and maintain short nails, with no acrylics. Knowledge of electronic health record systems is beneficial. Candidates should be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding environment. The first day report time is 7:30 AM. Scrub color is navy blue, but other colors are acceptable. Please inquire upon arrival for further instructions.
