Assistant Project Manager

A well-established specialty contractor is looking to add two Assistant Project Managers to its growing team in Queens. The APMs will support a range of façade restoration and building envelope projects , with a strong focus on schools and public-sector projects throughout New York City . This is a great opportunity for someone with existing construction experience to develop their career within the façade and building envelope industry. The company is also open to early-career candidates with the right attitude, energy and willingness to learn . Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of façade and building envelope projects Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field teams and clients Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation Review drawings, specifications and construction documents Track project schedules, materials and deliveries Assist with project meetings and progress reporting Maintain accurate project records and documentation Support project closeout and punch-list activities Communicate with field teams to ensure projects remain on schedule Learn the technical and commercial aspects of façade restoration and building envelope construction Requirements 0–3+ years of commercial construction experience Construction, engineering or project coordination experience preferred Experience with façade restoration, building envelope, glazing, masonry or exterior construction is a plus Public works or school project experience preferred Procore experience is a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Motivated, energetic and eager to develop within the construction industry Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required Why Join?
