Payroll Specialist
Job Description: A mid‑sized law firm is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely processing across multiple locations. This role handles day‑to‑day payroll administration, compliance tasks, and coordination with HR and Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Process regular payroll cycles and maintain accurate employee data.
- Ensure compliance with federal and multi‑state payroll regulations.
- Serve as a point of contact for payroll questions and issue resolution.
- Review timekeeping, pay schedules, and onboarding‑related payroll details.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with reconciliations.
- Process benefit‑related deductions and contributions.
- Support system updates, process improvements, and payroll‑related projects.
- Maintain payroll documentation and ensure confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of payroll experience.
- Strong understanding of multi‑state payroll requirements.
- Experience in a professional services environment preferred.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and strong Excel skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
