Maintenance SchedulerTrainer, PA - Trainer, PAOverviewSalary Range $65.00 - $75.00 Hourly Level ExperiencedDescriptionPrimary PurposeThe Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance work to ensure maximum equipment reliability, workforce efficiency, and minimal downtime.Core ResponsibilitiesWork Planning & Scheduling Develop daily, weekly, and shutdown schedules for maintenance activitiesPrioritize work orders based on: Safety, Production impact, Equipment criticalityEnsure all required labor, materials, and tools are available before schedulingSequence jobs to minimize downtime and conflictsWork Order Management Review and validate incoming work orders from the CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM)Ensure work orders include: Clear scope of work, Estimated labor hours, Required parts/materialsTrack backlog and maintain a healthy backlog (typically 2–4 weeks)Coordination with Operations & Maintenance Work closely with: Operations (to align production schedules), Maintenance supervisors/foremenAttend daily/weekly planning meetingsCoordinate equipment availability and downtime windowsResource Allocation Assign labor based on: Skill set, Availability, Priority of workOptimize crew utilization and reduce idle timeMaterials & Inventory Coordination Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teamsEnsure parts are: Ordered, Kitted, Staged prior to scheduled workAvoid delays due to missing materialsPreventive & Predictive Maintenance Scheduling Maintain and schedule: Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs, Predictive Maintenance (PdM) tasksEnsure compliance with OEM and regulatory requirementsShutdown & Turnaround Planning Develop detailed schedules for: Planned outages, Turnarounds (TARs)Coordinate contractors, materials, and timelinesTrack progress and adjust schedules as neededPerformance Tracking & Reporting Monitor KPIs such as: Schedule compliance (%), Equipment uptime, Backlog levels, Labor utilizationGenerate reports for managementContinuous Improvement Identify scheduling inefficienciesImprove planning accuracy and job estimatesSupport reliability initiatives (RCM, Lean, etc)QualificationsStrong knowledge of maintenance processes and workflowsExperience with CMMS systemsExperience with Maximo and P6Organizational and time management skillsAbility to read technical drawings and job scopesStrong communication and coordination abilities
