About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Neuro ICU experience preferred at a level one trauma facility. License: KY or compact license required. Certifications: EKG, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Experience with ICP and lumbar drains. Prefer experience with charting in electronic medical record systems. Experience floating to other units. Availability to work weekends and holidays. Description: Two years of Neuro ICU experience is preferred in a high-acuity setting. Travel experience is preferred but not required. Required certifications include EKG, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Experience with ICP monitoring and lumbar drains is essential. Experience with licox is preferred. You will be required to float to other units within the healthcare system. Local travelers within a 100-mile radius are not accepted. Working three out of five winter holidays is expected. Candidates must be aware of the requirement to float within the healthcare facility or to affiliated facilities. Effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential. You will be caring for patients with diagnoses such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury. Candidates should possess strong critical thinking and assessment skills. Ongoing education and compliance with mandatory competencies will be a key part of this position.
