This position is primarily remote, giving flexibility to our employees while ensuring that they still receive the necessary support and resources. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Greater City Family Counseling, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate a patient's mental health status using recognized diagnostic tools, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

• Developing individualized treatment plans that are responsive to the unique needs of each patient, including adjustments for cultural diversity and special considerations.
\n
• Providing therapy sessions, both virtually and in-person, utilizing evidence-based practices to support patients in managing their mental health issues stemming from a cancer diagnosis.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of treatment records and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
\n
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans and making modifications as necessary, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive approach to care that aligns with patients' goals.
\n
• Coordinating referrals to other services and providers as necessary, establishing strong working relationships with external agencies and specialists.

• Mentoring and providing educational support to interns, students, and colleagues to bolster team development and enhance patient care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families facing the challenges of cancer diagnoses. Understanding the complex emotional and psychological needs of this patient population, you will provide a safe and supportive environment where they can express their feelings and work towards emotional healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Experience\n

While specific experience in oncology care is preferred, we value a diverse range of backgrounds in mental health and are open to candidates with a strong foundation in clinical social work, particularly those experienced in outpatient settings. Familiarity with teletherapy practices is a plus, as is experience in working collaboratively within healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits\n
