About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Business Development to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of the business, with a focus on the public health and government agency sectors. This role is pivotal in the company's mission to provide cutting-edge health solutions and educational programs. The VP of Business Development will be at the forefront of the sales process, from attending conferences and meetings to creating target lists and actively pursuing new business opportunities. While the role does not currently involve direct reports, the VP will be instrumental in contract execution and will later be responsible for staffing the projects with the necessary resources. Applicants for the VP of Business Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years' of experience, with a preference for those with 10 to 15 years' in the field. A strong background in the government agency or public health sector is essential, as is a deep understanding of FAR and DFAR regulations. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in true business development, networking, proposal generation, and comprehensive deal management. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a proactive problem solver, and a team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment.
