Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Checkpoint in Milpitas, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Job Schedule:
DayTimeTue02:00 PM - 10:30 PMWed02:00 PM - 10:30 PMSat03:00 PM - 11:30 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery access in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to established procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Possess customer service experience, preferred.
- Hold CPR certification, preferred.
- Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
