Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Med/Surg Tele)

Contract | Onsite | Day/Night Rotating Shifts | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Days: 7:00am–7:30pm | Nights: 7:00pm–7:30am

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting within an acute care hospital environment
• May be required to float to additional units to care for the same patient population based on operational needs
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Administer and manage medications safely, with competency validated through assessment during orientation
• Participate in holiday coverage on at least an every-other-holiday basis
• Complete annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules as required throughout the contract

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or Med/Surg Telemetry specialty required
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single location for the required specialty tenure is preferred, though not required
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessment processes
• Prior travel nursing experience in a large acute care or academic medical center environment
