Overview
Registered Nurse – Adolescent Behavioral Health Inpatient (Travel) in Saint Helena, California, United States. This travel assignment begins 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 40 hours per week on a day shift (5x8s, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) in a short-term acute care setting that includes two inpatient behavioral health units. Weekly pay ranges from $2,745 to $2,956.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adolescents on two inpatient behavioral health units, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans; coordinate admission through discharge to optimize patient outcomes.
- Apply case management skills to coordinate continuum of care, assess resource needs, discuss treatment plans with physicians, and facilitate transfers when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (Epic) and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu; perform crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed; monitor for safety risks and respond to behavioral health events.
- Support patient and family education and discharge planning, including linkage to post-discharge services.

Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- BLS certification
- Epic experience
- At least two years of recent RN experience in the field
- BSN preferred; behavioral health background and case management experience preferred
- Ability to work in an inpatient behavioral health setting; comfortable on two adult inpatient behavioral health units (one medical behavioral unit and one standard adult psychiatry unit)
- No on-call requirement
