Overview
Registered Nurse – Outpatient travel assignment in Saint Helena, California. Start date: 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,828-$1,948 per week with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 4x10 days. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital outpatient services. This is a travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient surgery patients based on established standards and the nursing process.
- Perform preoperative assessment, intraoperative support, and PACU Phase II care with professional judgment and supervision as needed.
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and assist with moderate sedation and rapid patient turnover in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and ancillary staff; participate in discharge planning and patient/family education.
- Document care accurately in EPIC or equivalent EMR; ensure clear handoffs and continuity of care.
- Assist with perioperative workflows, including open-heart and total joint pathways when applicable, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: RN license in the state of practice required; Basic Life Support (BLS) required; CPR acceptable if a vendor-approved BLS is provided; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) required; facility-specific BLS per policy.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience in outpatient surgery/perioperative or similar fast-paced perioperative environment; endoscopy experience required; EPIC EMR experience preferred; strong experience with preop and PACU Phase II workflows.
- Additional: Must be comfortable working in an outpatient surgery/outpatient endoscopy environment and able to manage rapid patient turnover.
