Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the full school year in an onsite setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about individualized instruction and collaboration, offering the chance to work as a resource teacher for grades 3-5. With a caseload of approximately 10 students, you’ll deliver both pullout and push-in services, ensuring each learner receives tailored support in line with their unique educational needs.

Key Qualifications

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) Endorsement (Illinois)
• Strong knowledge and experience in specialized instruction and IEP implementation
• Ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for elementary-age learners
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the capacity to manage documentation and progress tracking
• Excellent communication skills for effective student, staff, and family collaboration
• Familiarity with district and state regulations related to special education

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and intervention as a resource teacher for approximately 10 students in grades 3-5
• Conduct both pullout and push-in minutes, supporting learners in classroom and small-group settings
• Adapt instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and help develop individualized education plans to drive student progress
• Maintain compliance with all documentation requirements and safeguard student confidentiality
