Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist

Job Description

Join a respected hospital team as a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist supporting the CV ICU and Medical ICU. This 13-week contract is a great opportunity for pharmacists with Level I Trauma experience who are passionate about providing clinical pharmacy services in a fast-paced hospital setting. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical pharmacy support for the CV ICU and Medical ICU
Review and verify medication orders
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
Make medication therapy recommendations to improve patient care
Ensure safe and effective medication use
Document clinical interventions in EPIC

Work Hours

13-week contract
Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Every other weekend required
Start date: ASAP

Experience

At least 1 year of recent Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist experience
Prior Level I Trauma hospital experience required
First-time travelers are welcome
Experience with EPIC required

Education

PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree
Active Louisiana Pharmacist license required

Other Qualifications

PGY2 residency preferred, but not required
Board Certification preferred, but not required
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a critical care environment
