Production Team Lead - D06 1st Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a production team lead – D06 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $29.60 per hour. The hours for this shift are 6:30 am – 2:30 pm. Position overview The Team Lead I is responsible for performing, leading and coordinating production work on the shop floor for their designated department. This is achieved by allocating employees to designated work centers, identifying and resolving production bottlenecks, and modeling the behavior of a front‑line leader at Eaton. As a Team Lead I, You Will Assist department supervisor in maintaining workflow, assigning work, and instructing other employees. Assure all employees in the area are fully trained for the tasks assigned, including safety, PPE, production and process awareness. If training deficiencies are discovered, coordinate with the department supervisor to provide necessary training. Effectively communicate and implement department objectives, priorities, and standards to the hourly workforce. Conduct start‑of‑shift meetings at the beginning of every shift, emphasizing any special concerns regarding safety, quality, delivery, cost or takt time performance. Field questions from the hourly workforce and redirect resources as required to meet changing needs or conditions. Coordinate area work activities and keep the supervisor informed of all matters. Keep the supervisor fully informed of any issue(s) that pose(s) a risk to successful performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, or meeting production performance. Be knowledgeable in the set‑up, adjustment, and operation of all departmental equipment, including filling in for operators when needed. Check material availability and expedite shortages with production control, as well as other functions related to the MRP system. Identify training needs within the department and address them through coaching and onboarding employees. Operate forklift as needed. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without a company sponsorship, now or in the future. No relocation offered; candidate must reside within 50 miles of the South Milwaukee, WI site. Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office products. Proficiency in SAP ECC/MRP planning and/or purchasing modules. Preferred Qualifications Minimum one year of experience working with Engineering to Order (ETO). Lean Six Sigma tool knowledge.
