This role represents the company with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and internal teams through project development, construction, and warranty. The Project Manager supports and promotes our company culture through effective Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA). Supervisory Responsibility Supervises Project Engineers and provides direction to job superintendents and field staff as needed. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary Account Manager for assigned clients, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring satisfaction. Manage projects up to $5M with minimal direction from Senior PM; maintain overall responsibility for project Profit & Loss (P&L). Prepare estimates and budgets; support bidding, subcontractor coordination, and materials procurement. Develop and maintain master project schedules and ensure milestones, resource allocation and deadlines are met. Maintain and manage action items, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Coordinate and lead pre-construction, progress, and site meetings; make periodic site visits to monitor work and resolve field issues. Provide project information and technical support to superintendents; assist in problem resolution and client communications. Track job costs, review/approve invoices, manage vendor payments, and control expenditures against budget. Ensure timely processing of submittals and change orders to avoid schedule delays. Enforce company policies and safety regulations on projects; support quality control and compliance efforts. Assist with weekly manpower and equipment scheduling in coordination with superintendents. Recommend staffing, capital purchases, and improvements to bidding processes and job workflows. Perform other duties as assigned to support project success and company objectives. Required Skills & Knowledge Construction techniques, methods, and applications Project management principles and job costing Subcontractor scopes and coordination OSHA regulations and applicable city/state/federal construction laws Equipment utilization and productivity management Supervisory skills and ability to gain respect of field personnel Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to inspect job sites for safety and quality compliance Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Approximately 5 years of relevant construction project management experience; developing knowledge of hard-bid contracts. Experience managing projects under $5M preferred. Preferred Certifications (optional) OSHA 10/30, PMP or equivalent project management certification, trade-specific certifications, CDL, welding or inspection certifications. Physical Requirements Occasional physical activity: balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, driving, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Work may require exposure to outdoor weather, varied temperatures, long hours, and occasional weekend/holiday duties. Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally; up to 10 pounds frequently.
