Technical Analyst I – End User Technology This position is part of the Operations and Support Services team. The role is responsible for providing technical support for all end‑user technologies, including second‑level support for Pasco County’s production operations, creating and updating knowledge‑base articles, imaging and deploying new equipment. Essential Job Functions Provides hardware and software support for computers, cellular telephones, and network/telecommunications system infrastructure equipment which includes installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting problems. Maintains and reports repairs for infrastructure, hardware, and software and serves as point‑of‑contact with vendors to schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance on computer and peripheral equipment. Advises, trains, and assists customers on system operations and usage as required. Updates documentation manuals with new procedures and modifications to existing procedures as required. Performs software installations and troubleshooting and assists with endpoint protection and system monitoring. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to support software and productivity applications including Microsoft 365, Adobe, and Team Calling. Ability to support user‑level OS for Windows 11 or higher. Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues related to desktop computers, laptops, and printers. Ability to provide remote support. Ability to follow established standards and make suggestions for improvement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Minimum Requirements Physical Skills: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and also push or pull heavy objects. May use a handling device or work with another team member to lift and/or move excessively heavy objects. Ability to operate a keyboard. Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written, and visual communication. Education, Training, and Experience: Two (2) years of experience in development and maintenance of systems operations with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field; OR four (4) years of experience with an Associate degree in the same area; OR six (6) years of experience with a high school diploma. Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or equivalent technical certificate may substitute for an Associate degree. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license. Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations Valid Florida driver’s license. Active industry‑recognized technical certifications that require recertification may be considered in lieu of an Associate degree.
