Sr. Accounting ManagerOur client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed organization with revenues of $2B+. They are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead a segment of the accounting and reporting function as the company continues to grow. The Sr. Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, the monthly close, ensure contracts are correctly interpreted and applied in the accounting, and evolve processes and controls to support the continued growth of the company. This role will lead a team of 8-10 (direct and indirect reports).Not sure what skills you will need for this opportunity Simply read the full description below to get a complete picture of candidate requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly close and reporting cycle, meeting all deadlinesStrengthen and maintain internal controls and processes as the company grows.Coordinate audit schedules and support requests for the annual financial statement auditPartner with various functions across the organization including divisional controllers, operations, and legal, on accounting and reporting needsIdentify and implement process improvements and automation of accounting workflowsManage daily team activities, and coach, develop, and evaluate staffQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people managementStrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAPExperience in a high-growth environment, improving processes for scale and efficiencyAbility to explain complex calculations clearly to various stakeholders, both internal and externalStrong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to juggle competing deadlinesProven ability to mentor a team and keep it accountable and on trackAll inquiries will be handled in strict confidenceAbout Ted Elliott & AssociatesTed Elliott & Associates is a leading recruiting firm based in San Diego.
