And, together, we find a way to turn that potential into reality.Role SummaryAs a Family Support Specialist, you will be pivotal in supporting children, youth, and families facing life’s toughest challenges. Whether you provide hands-on case management, help to develop life skills, or provide emotional support, your work will directly impact the lives of those we serve.The hourly wage range for this role is $24.00 - $25.50.Primary Responsibilities:Conducts regular in-home visits that are family-centered, strength-based, and directed at establishing a trusting relationship.Completes the Family Resilience and Opportunities for Growth (FROG) Scale with parents (prenatally and/or immediately after the birth of their child) to determine risk and resiliency factors.Regularly assesses the infants and children using the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ-3, ASQ-SE) to determine developmental progress and needs.Assesses family needs, develops goals with parents and plans for the accomplishment of those goals in collaboration with the family.Provides resources, referrals and information to families as appropriate and supports the families in accessing support services.Education and Experience:Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate’s degree in a human service field (i.e., social work, sociology, psychology, early childhood education, child development, family studies) is preferred.Experience working with or providing services to children and families required.
