As a Sports Physical Therapist, you will work onsite alongside a diverse group of dedicated rehabilitation professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions to assess their physical capabilities and functional limitations.
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs tailored specifically to each patient's unique needs and performance goals.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities and hands-on techniques, including manual therapy, corrective exercises, neuromuscular re-education, and injury prevention strategies.
• Collaborate effectively with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on managing injuries, enhancing performance, and developing long-term wellness plans.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient treatments and track progress against established benchmarks.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and performance improvement projects aimed at promoting sports health and injury prevention within the local community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with athletes, from amateur to professional levels, as well as active individuals who have sustained injuries, ranging from fractures and sprains to chronic conditions like tendonitis and bursitis. Our diverse client base emphasizes a strong focus on functional recovery and performance enhancement, ensuring that patients return to their activities equipped with the knowledge andTools to maintain their health and avoid future injuries.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited institution.
• Current, valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida, or eligibility for licensure prior to the start date.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy is strongly preferred.
• Certification such as SCS (Sports Certified Specialist) is a plus, or the desire to obtain certification is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient engagement and a team-based approach to treatment.
• Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience with performance evaluation and rehabilitation of athletes, particularly in a clinical or rehab setting.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
• Knowledge of contemporary trends in sports therapy and rehabilitation techniques.
