• Shift: Rotating shifts, including operating room coverage Monday Friday, and full-day clinics

What You ll Do

• Provide advanced clinical care to cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on compassionate, patient-first approach
• Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting as needed
• Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care across CVICU, floors, and clinics
• Participate in two full-day clinics weekly and see additional patients on other days
• Rotate through OR coverage during weekdays
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and healthcare team members
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement patient care plans and follow-up strategies
• Prescribe and manage medications in compliance with regulations
• Perform bedside procedures as appropriate
• Document all care accurately and promptly
• Demonstrate expert clinical judgment and work independently under physician supervision
• Maintain ongoing education to meet state and national licensing requirements

What You Need

• Required:
  
  
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado
  • Certification from AANP or ANCC
  • BLS (AHA) certification
  • DEA license
  • Experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery preferred
