Press Brake Operator

Job Full Description

Hours: 1st Shift: M-F, 6am-2:30pm


Basic Function: Operate, set up and run CNC Press Brake in a proficient and safe manner.


Major Duties: Set up, run and maintain CNC Press Brake. Utilize multi-stage bending systems. Accurately select and set-up tools and dies to bend metal from flat form.


Process is semi-repetitive utilizing machinery, tooling, and fixtures for set up, and requiring some minor troubleshooting and adjustment to complete assigned tasks.


Conduct first article inspection. Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with prints, maintaining ISO quality, and cosmetic specifications.


Complete work orders in a timely manner while properly using the production time logger to accurately capture labor costs.


Support Shop Manager in keeping shipments on time. Assist QC department with repairs and RMAs; when needed.


Perform daily and periodic maintenance on assigned machine. Report any mechanical problems or safety concerns to the Shop Manager.


Secure machine and ensure all safety features are engaged before leaving machine unattended.


Supervision Received: This position reports directly to the Shop Supervisor


Responsibilities and Authority :


Employee Relations - Interfaces with co-workers and other departments in a professional manner.


Materials and Products - Handle department tools & equipment in a professional manner.
