Founding Marketer

Experience: 4–8+ Years Compensation: $275K About the Role We\'re partnering with a high-growth, venture-backed B2B SaaS startup looking to hire its first marketing leader. As the Founding Marketing Hire, you\'ll build the marketing function from the ground up, owning strategy and execution across demand generation, product marketing, content, brand, and growth. This is an opportunity to have an outsized impact on the company\'s go-to-market strategy while working directly with the founders, sales leadership, and product team. We\'re looking for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, thrives in ambiguity, and is excited to build scalable marketing programs from scratch. What You\'ll Do Develop and execute the company\'s overall marketing strategy. Own demand generation initiatives across paid, organic, events, partnerships, and outbound support. Create compelling messaging, positioning, and product marketing collateral. Build content programs including blogs, case studies, customer stories, webinars, and sales enablement materials. Partner closely with Sales to improve pipeline generation and conversion. Own website strategy, SEO, and conversion optimization. Launch and optimize email marketing and nurture campaigns. Measure marketing performance and report on key funnel metrics including MQLs, SQLs, CAC, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution. Evaluate and implement marketing tools, processes, and automation. Help define the company\'s brand, voice, and market positioning. Hire and build the marketing team as the company scales. What We\'re Looking For Required Qualifications 4–8+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience. Experience working at Seed, Series A, or Series B startups. Proven success owning marketing initiatives that generated measurable pipeline and revenue. Strong understanding of demand generation, growth marketing, product marketing, and content strategy. Experience partnering closely with Sales and GTM leadership. Data-driven mindset with experience measuring campaign performance and ROI. Excellent written communication and storytelling skills. Comfortable operating independently with minimal direction. Preferred Qualifications Experience as the first or early marketing hire at a startup. Experience marketing technical SaaS products to B2B buyers. Hands-on experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Webflow, Marketo, Clay, Apollo, or similar marketing platforms. Familiarity with PLG, outbound-assisted GTM, or enterprise SaaS sales motions. Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or contractors before building an internal team.
