Buyer II

Buyer 12 months contract Hybrid -Austin, TX (2 days in office, 3 days remote) Pay: 33/hr-36/hr (DOE) Responsibilities: Will work on creating a contract database that includes all vendors and related details. Assist Procurement team with purchase order activities and projects. Manage and maintain Ariba files Analyze and communicate relevant data such as vendor quotes, parts lists, reports, etc. Obtain, evaluate and negotiate bids from suppliers for price, delivery, quality, and terms and conditions Manage open order base to optimize maximum supplier performance Evaluate supplier performance with various rating methods Assist with cost reduction activities Interact effectively with internal and external customers Produce reports, statistics, and strategies During the first couple of weeks of training, full-time in-office attendance is expected Requirements: Experience Required: Commodity Buyer with experience purchasing indirect goods (e.g., office furniture, software products, etc.). Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience; eight years preferred Bachelor's degree can be substituted by minimum of 4 years direct work experience Experience in semiconductor manufacturing desired; electronics industry background at a minimum. Priority Skill: Purchasing IT products is a higher priority than semiconductor buying experience. SAP Ariba experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Products such as Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
