Established and growing plaintiff's personal injury law firm in Garden City is seeking an Entry-Level Personal Injury Attorney to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain hands-on litigation experience while working alongside experienced trial attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of personal injury cases under supervision
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
- Attend court appearances, conferences, depositions, and hearings
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
- Assist with case evaluations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure deadlines are met
Required Qualifications
- JD from accredited law school
- Must have passed the New York State Bar Examination
- Candidates awaiting formal admission to the New York State Bar will be considered
- Entry-level experience in personal injury law
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior internship, clerkship, or experience in personal injury, litigation, or related practice areas is a plus
