Job Opportunity – Pediatric PeriAnesthesia / PACU Registered Nurse – Virginia

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Schedule: 13-week assignment, night shift, every other weekend and every other holiday. Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved during the contract period.

Highlights:

• Specialized 10-bed pediatric preoperative and postoperative unit with an additional 4-bed Pediatric Surgical Observation Unit (PSOU)
• Provide postoperative care for pediatric patients requiring overnight observation or extended recovery (up to 23 hours) following surgery
• Family-centered care model with collaboration across anesthesia, surgery, and multidisciplinary teams
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Level I Trauma Center experience with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Care for diverse patient age groups including infants, pediatrics, and adolescents

Requirements:

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted, must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience of 1:4 required
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions available)
• BSN preferred
