Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with a guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float between Medical Surgical ICU and Neuro ICU units with possible float to other critical care units and inpatient units as needed
• Primary patient ratio of 2:1 in a 16-bed Medical Surgical ICU
• Clinical lead available 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7 days per week with shift leader support at nights
• CNAs and LPNs available to assist RNs
• Primary case types include stroke care, cerebral monitoring and drains, ventilators, drips, chest tubes, spinal drains, JPs, and some CRRT patients
• May encounter logging accidents, motorcycle accidents, and snowmobile accidents depending on time of year
• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg and ICU experience required with strong Neuro experience
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS
• CCRN preferred but not required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrubs: any color
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of facility

This healthcare facility is a Level 2 trauma center offering a wide range of critical care services. The Medical Surgical ICU specializes in treating complex conditions including stroke care, sepsis, respiratory failure, alcohol detox, and neurological cases. The unit is well-supported with clinical leads, shift leaders, CNAs, and LPNs to ensure high-quality patient care around the clock.
