Key Qualifications:

• At least one year of paraprofessional experience in a school setting
• Paraprofessional certification, 48+ college credits, associate’s degree, or higher is preferred
• Candidates without current paraprofessional certification must be willing to obtain it within 60 days of hire
• Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork skills
• Ability to assist with daily classroom functions and supportive instructional activities

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide vital support to high school students in a life skills classroom (not a 1:1 role)
• Collaborate with educators to implement instructional plans and classroom management strategies
• Foster a supportive classroom climate that respects diversity and promotes student independence
• Assist with adaptive activities, socialization efforts, and daily living skills
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate student progress with staff
• Uphold confidentiality and a high standard of professionalism at all times
