Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Either a paraprofessional certificate, 48+ college credits, or an associate’s degree (or above)
• If lacking required certification or college credits, ability to obtain paraprofessional certification within 60 days of hire
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Dependability and motivation to help students reach their potential

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support under the direction of the life skills teacher
• Assist students with daily activities, instructional tasks, and social-emotional growth
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment
• Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualized learning strategies
• Help with classroom organization, instructional materials, and activity setup
