Home base for this position is Shirley, MA with extensive travel throughout southeastern, MA (Plymouth, Brockton, Carver area) or Central, MA (Athol, Orange, Templeton) About the role Summary: As a member of the Community Strategies Senior Management team, the Residential Director is responsible for working as a team with the other Residential Directors, Director of Residential Operations and Senior Director in the overall operations of the residential programs as well as the direct supervision of Program Managers I & II. Indirect supervision and support of Assistant Managers, Meaningful Day Coordinators and all program staff. What you'll do Duties/Responsibilities: Supervise the staffing and operation of several homes, assisting the Program Managers in covering shifts, authorizing and monitoring use of overtime within budget, and advertising for vacancies as well as hiring and supervising staff. Directly supervises and supports five to seven group home programs. Make certain that all programs follow proper staffing ratios and schedules. Ensure the physical condition of each of the homes is safe, healthy and in good repair. Take necessary actions to secure repairs, furnishings and equipment. Regular and direct in-person oversight of group home operations. Must be present at each group home location on a regular basis, no less than three times per month. Attendance required at all in-person meetings at any CRJ location as scheduled. Responsible for managing programs within budgeted resources. Supervises the program spending through financial reports and monitor Program Manager to stay within budgeted limits, including the use of overtime and other program expenses. Ensure full compliance with all regulatory standards, including the DDS Licensing and Certification Standards through supervision and training of Program Managers and all residential staff. Hire, supervise and train Program Managers and monitor training of all other staff. Ensure excellent working relationships with landlords (if applicable), service providers, neighbors and others in the communities where the programs are located. Participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled. Ensure that all of the systems to support individuals are properly in use in each home; including but not limited to, Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS), iCentrix, MAP, petty cash, client funds, Meaningful Day Services, etc. Evaluate performance at least annually and provide ongoing supervision to all staff. Monitor the staff evaluations done by Program Managers. Ensure that complete and appropriate individual records are maintained in accordance with Department of Developmental Services and Community Strategies regulations and policies. Secondary Responsibilities: Attend appropriate meetings and prepare reports. Assist in program development by contributing to proposal writing, working to locate physical program sites, and making recommendations to Executive Staff.
