Elevate Your Career as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Observation Unit Job Description: * Provide exceptional care in the fast-paced Cardiac Observation Unit for Cath Lab patients before and after their procedures. * Evaluate assigned patients and expertly plan, implement, and document personalized nursing care. * Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, playing a vital role in patient outcomes. * Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the registered nurse's scope of practice. * Prep patients for: - Cath procedures (including charting pre-procedure checklist, IV start, access preparation) - Cardioversions (CV) - Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) * Recover patients following Cath procedures who received conscious sedation. * Sedate, circulate, and meticulously document bedside procedures, including CV and TEE. * Discharge patients with thorough teaching, documentation, and physical discharge procedures. * Work with high-risk, high-acuity patients and contribute to superb outcomes within our dedicated team. * Embrace a dynamic shift schedule: 3 x 12s with varying start times (0600-1830, 0700-1930, 0800-2030). * Participate in a rotational call program approximately every six weeks, including weekend shifts.
