Step into a supportive educational setting as a paraprofessional working one-on-one with a 1st grade student who benefits from gentle guidance in managing daily routines and classroom expectations. This contract opportunity, located in Goffstown, offers a rewarding experience working with elementary students in a dynamic and collaborative school serving grades 1 through 4.

Hours for this position are 8:20 a.m. to 3:10 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a structured and predictable schedule. The student you’ll work with does not require any assistance with toileting or bus supervision, allowing you to focus on reinforcing positive classroom behaviors, helping to follow teacher directions, and encouraging group participation.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional, particularly with early elementary grades, is highly valued
• Background or familiarity with positive behavioral support is a strong asset
• Ability to communicate easily with students and staff, fostering a safe and encouraging learning environment
• Adaptable, positive, and reliably punctual
• Readiness to schedule fingerprints and drug screening promptly, and to complete all credentialing requirements as quickly as possible

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide daily guidance and support to a 1st grade student, focusing on classroom behavior and social integration
• Help student follow instructions and remain engaged with peers and teacher-led activities
• Collaborate with teaching staff to help meet student goals and maintain a cohesive classroom environment
• Document and report student progress as needed
