At Uncle G's we take pride in our products and seek the best candidates to carefully craft our food and baked goods. We are seeking an experienced FT Bread Baker for our Melville Store. Our Bread Bakers create an outstanding customer experience through the creation of exceptional gourmet bread products! The Bread Baker should smile, greet and be courteous to customers, work with management and all other associates to provide a high level of customer service. Responsibilities Prepares bread, rolls, muffins, and biscuits according to company recipes Checks production schedule to define variety quantity of goods to bake Measures ingredients, using measuring cups spoons Mixes ingredients to form dough or batter by hand or using electric mixers Cuts dough into uniform portions with knife or divider, m olds dough into loaves or desired shapes Adjusts drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperature Other duties and functions as assigned Requirements HS Diploma or equivalent Must have prior experience as a Bread Maker or pizza maker, with detailed knowledge of how bread is made, ingredients that are used for breads and the different types of breads, shapes, sizes and baking temperatures Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language Must be able to stand while walking for entire shift We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(K), 50% discount on lunch, 25% store discount and more! Working Conditions Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping. May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance. Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers. There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents. Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $18 - $22 Hourly
