Focus Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including customer invoicing, progress billing, collections, retainage billing, and final project invoicing. Prepare and process construction billings while ensuring accuracy, contract compliance, and timely submission. Partner with project managers to resolve billing questions, validate project progress, and support successful project financial administration. Maintain aging reports, proactively follow up on outstanding balances, and support healthy cash flow through effective collections. Process vendor invoices and assist with accounts payable activities as needed. Support project accounting functions including job setup, project cost tracking, change order documentation, and closeout activities. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with month end and year end accounting activities. Maintain organized accounting records while ensuring compliance with company policies and construction documentation requirements. Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and support organizational growth. Skill Set Minimum of 3 years of accounts receivable and accounts payable experience, preferably within commercial construction. Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including progress billing, project accounting, retainage, customer invoicing, collections, and lien documentation. Solid accounting fundamentals with experience supporting journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, Vista, Foundation, or similar ERP systems. QuickBooks experience is highly preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and organize financial data. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Self-motivated professional capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic and evolving business environment. Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to collaborate across accounting and operations teams. Desired Qualifications Associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred. Experience supporting commercial construction projects with knowledge of project accounting workflows. Familiarity with construction compliance documentation, including retainage processing, lien waivers, and project closeout documentation.
